Privacy policy
Last updated: 1 July 2026
LLM Atlas ("we") runs llm-atlas.com, a free prompt-sharing site. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss FADP.
Data we process
- Account data. If you sign in (via Google, Apple or email through our identity provider, Keycloak), we store your user id, username, display name and email address. We never see or store your password for Google/Apple sign-in.
- Content you publish. Prompts, comments, collections, stars and profile details are public by design (except private collections).
- Server logs. IP addresses and request metadata are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Analytics (optional). We use Google Analytics 4 only after you consent via the cookie banner. Until you click "Allow analytics", no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your mind anytime by clearing the choice below. We honour your browser's Do Not Track setting.
Cookies and local storage
- Strictly necessary: sign-in session tokens (Keycloak) and your cookie-consent choice (localStorage).
- Analytics (consent-based): Google Analytics 4 cookies (
_ga,_ga_*), used to measure aggregate usage. IP addresses are truncated by GA4.
Legal bases
Contract performance for accounts and publishing (Art. 6(1)(b)), consent for analytics (Art. 6(1)(a)), and legitimate interest for security logging (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Sharing and transfers
We do not sell personal data. Processors: our hosting provider (EU), Google Ireland Ltd. for Analytics (with consent). Where data leaves the EU/EEA, transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account exists. Public content remains after account deletion in anonymized form unless you request removal. Security logs are deleted within 30 days. GA4 data retention is set to 14 months.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing, and you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. Contact: privacy@llm-atlas.com.
