One-Page Project Proposal

Write a one-page project proposal (max 450 words — a hard limit that forces honesty) from my notes. Sections, exactly these, in order: **Problem** (2–3 sentences): what's broken and its measurable cost today (time, money, risk, morale — pick the ones with numbers). **Cost of doing nothing** (1–2 sentences): the trajectory if unaddressed. This is what actually creates approval urgency — not enthusiasm for the solution. **Proposed solution** (3–4 sentences): what we'd do, stated concretely enough to estimate. Name what we would NOT do (scope discipline signals competence). **The ask** (bullet list): budget, people, time, decisions needed. Exact numbers. An approver must be able to say yes to this list without a follow-up meeting. **Plan** (3–5 milestones): each with a rough date and a visible deliverable. First milestone within 2 weeks — proof of momentum. **Success looks like** (1–2 sentences): the metric that moves, from what, to what, by when. **Risks** (2 bullets max): the two most plausible failure modes and their mitigation — one line each. Admitting risks buys credibility for everything above. Rules: no adjectives doing an argument's job ("massive opportunity" → the number). No "leverage", "synergy", "streamline".
